Cats and School

Yesterday we volunteered at Purrfect Pets. We cleaned the cages playing with the cats while we did it.

Who We ArePurrfect Pets is dedicated to helping cats in need. Rescued cats are
placed in foster homes to await the right person to give them a forever home. We
are a no-kill, non-profit, all volunteer organization.

Every cat gets to go into the play room and exercise; they set a timer for them.





This is Roy, he's very sweet and friendly. All the cat are adorable and purr the moment to pet them. My favortie cat was smokey I didn't get a picture of her but here is her picture from the website. Aside from the fact that we had a couple of moments together. I think I like her the most because she reminds me the most of my cat Juneav...

I picked up Roy and as I was holding him the vacuum was turned on. Most cat/humans don't like vacuums but this is what happens when you turn on a vacuum while holding a cat.




My classmate gave me a surprised birthday party. Billie gave me this gift. I love it!

Spoiled

I received a new camera is the mails from my family. I am spoiled! Thanks mom!

Also my classmates gave me a surprise birthday party.

I had been invited to eat with Amanda (on Friday) who invites me weekly to eat with her. I didn't like the weather (It was snowing) So I cancelled on her. I went home and Amanda get's her brother and Boyfriend to come pick me up insisting that she didn't cut 300 carrots for them to go to waste.

When I get there my class mates are there, there's a cake, and I even received two of the same singing cards. I received a cute cup which I can now take a picture of since I have a new camera.

This is going to be a rough couple of weeks. I'm not looking forward to it and I hope my patients show up with all the snow :(

Japan

I met this guy at a graduation party in His name is Tomoya but goes by Tom and he was working as an electrical engineer for a company here in Olathe. He's from Japan and was only going to be working there for a week in Olathe then going back to Japan where he lives and again returning to Olathe in Februrary for a couple of weeks.



So he asked for my number and I gave it to him. He called me a few times while I was at my study group and he left me a message and I returned his phone call. Really simple, just press the Green button over his name. Well...



His phone number...CALLS JAPAN!!!!

My dad calls me up yesterday (we have a family plan) and asks me "did you make a seven minute phone call to Japan in december?



Ummm.... hold on...[looking up Asian Toms number]



!!!!*******!!!!!! !!!!!!*****!!!!! !!!!!******!!!!!


I saw 916 and didn't even notice that there was a big + in front of it...

That was not the only phone call.... it's about $4 for everyminute.



I should have realized that Asian Tom has an Asian phone number but of course I didn't. I have learned.

Buttocks Solution?

Lately I've been having an issue with the downstairs bathroom (The first floor). The issue is, it's cold.

It irritates me that every time I sit down I want to jump right back up because the cold bites my butt.

I found a solution....

If I slap my cheeks they go a bit numb and I can sit down without being bothered by the cold. So far, it was been a success. I thought maybe other people might be interested to know it :-D So if you hear some slapping going on in the bathroom...you know what's going on. It's either a slapping sound or some not so pleasant ones :)

Does anyone else see the resemblance?! I was watching the movie The Best of Youth and I kept on thinking Alessio Boni Looks like Wu Zun. (Reference to My Happy Post) Clearly Wu Zun is Asian, but the hair, the lips, the chin.....

Dropped

I dropped all my gym classes (Aerobics, CPR/First Aid, Tai Chi, and Lifetime fitness)



and had the Dental Hygiene dean write a little for my insurance stating that I am full time. Clinic from 6:30 AM-5:30 PM Aerobic 6:00-6:50 and First Aid and CPR from 7:00-9:20

6:30 AM-9:20PM Was too much for one day. I could have done it but I was feeling too much anxiety.

I found out that even though my camera wont take normal pictures it will take videos...hmm... it would be cool if I knew how to edit videos.

My camera is broken :( It's been broken for a couple of weeks now. This is very sad.

Also I'm unsure how this semester is going to go because I signed up for several classes to make my schedule full. because this semester is busy and stress ful our program only gave us 7 credit hours. (this is because we will be doing several projects, giving time for service (min of 20 hours) and our boards.) One class I'm taking is Tai Chi???? I don't really know what that is about but I'm taking it because they are not offering Yoga this semester :(

The school library is closed so I'm being timed at the public Library. I'm going to use the remaining 9 mins. I have to look up Tai Chi. I'm glad it was open today.

I have looked up Tai Chi, I first thought it was a bunch of poses like yoga but it is like bloxing only with the fists or something.
